Our Story
Hickox Jewelers has a long history which sometimes is a pleasant surprise to our fashion-savvy contemporary customers of today. The original store opened in Port Credit (a community near Lake Ontario in Mississauga, ON) in 1951 by John and Ruth Hickox who built one of the most well respected fine jewelry stores in the area. In 1988, current owner Lori Galli, and her parents Ted and Norma Ballard, purchased the store and they continued to build on the long standing success and trust that has made Hickox Jewelers a true gem as a Canadian small business retailer, now boasting 60 years in business in 2021.
What we have always believed in is standing behind and delivering quality work, caring for clients by understanding what they are looking for and having a friendly environment to shop or pop in to say hello. We also have an eye on current trends and a desire to continue to evolve. Over the past two years, this little jewelry store on the Lakeshore with a big past has become a fabulous jewelry and lifestyle boutique carrying some of the most sought after brands in jewelry, clothing and accessories to fit the look of today’s women and their everyday life. We provide a lovely one-stop shopping experience. What remains from our early beginning is our dedication to our fine jewelry legacy, we are still the same trusted jeweler where engagement and wedding rings are created, and custom jewelry, re-design and repairs are a house specialty.
